The Union Investment Group (UIG) is one of the largest German asset managers for private and institutional investors. On the international financial markets, the Union Investment Group is strongly represented with its subsidiaries and branches, as well as through strategic co-operation with institutional partners.
In order to strengthen cooperation between the company and the bank advisors, Union Investment is using its bonus program "UnionPartnerProgramm". Bankers can then collect bonus points and exchange them for bonuses. In order to cover the further expansion of the portal, Union Investment adesso has been commissioned to rebuild the solutions for the UnionPartner program in a future-proof architecture.
adesso has developed a flexible, scalable portal solution based on the open-source portal platform Liferay and the content management system FirstSpirit. The two basic systems form a platform with a variety of standard functions that minimize the development effort and allow editors to adjust or edit their content - for example, new bonuses or questionnaires for surveys. After the successful go-live, adesso took over the operation of the solution for Union Investment and a 7x24-hour support.
Under the project name "WebUnion+", Union Investment began to adapt the current web presence for private customers step by step to the current information needs - together with experts from adesso, who stood by Union Investment's side from consulting to conception of concrete activities such as the search, the web form system and other tools.
It was most important to provide the website's visitor with the right information, in accordance with his or her previous knowledge and interests. A further building block of the digitisation activities of Union Investment: the consistent use of mobile channels. So the project team developed the mobile strategy consistently, in which it took up the first approaches of the app "Meine Fondswelt".
