Creating a software system for product modelling and portfolio management in the life insurance division incl. project and quality management.

Barmenia and in|sure PSLife introduced a new portfolio management system for the life insurance business, as part of the process of modernising their IT landscape. adesso took care of the quality management while the portfolio management system was being introduced, ensuring that the quality met the standards set out by the ISTQB. adesso also carried out the test management process with employees certified by ISTQB.
Result
With the creation of a software system for product modelling and portfolio management for its life insurance division, Barmenia now has a sophisticated portfolio management system that allows the company to model new insurance packages and bring them to the market. Barmenia also benefits from having a project and quality management process that meets the standards set by IREB.
Consulting and determining individual requirements for the customer at the point of sale
Project
Barmenia collaborated with adesso in order to develop the LebensChecker app. The aim was to become even more customer friendly and provide more direct support when it comes to advising customers or determining their requirements. adesso AG, adesso mobile solutions GmbH, ARITHNEA GmbH and the Paluno Institute of the University of Duisburg-Essen collaborated on developing the app and launched it within just six months.
Result
LebensChecker enables Barmenia to give direct support to its insurance brokers at the point of sale when they are advising customers and evaluating what each customer needs from a life insurance. The solution enables customers to receive comprehensive information about life insurance at the point of sale. They can quickly determine their specific needs and identify possible gaps in the coverage.
in|sure PSLife migration
Project
adesso took over the project management of the entire migration process on behalf of Barmenia. The project involved preparing for and carrying out the migration of a host-based portfolio management system to the in|sure PSLife system. adesso designed, put together and tested the entire migration process. This included extracting and enriching the data from the source system, importing the data using MigSuite (a migration tool) as well as performing and testing the migration.
Result
A host-based portfolio management system was fully migrated to the in|sure PSLife system.
